Flanged excess flow valves to protect against LPG surges

Excess flow valves are safety check devices that protect against higher flow rates than what is expected in lines or in case of ruptures. They are installed in flow lines and are specifically designed for pipelines, pressure gauges and tank nozzles.

Product description

Excess flow valves are normally open and allow bi-directional flow with the shut-off functionality only being actuated in one direction. If flow velocity exceeds the expected rate and thereby the spring tension, the valve will shut off until pressure has been close to equalised. A bleed-off orifice assists in reaching full pressure equalisation and re-opening of the valve.
