Dry Gas Couplings for LPG hose assemblies

Dry gas couplings are functioning filling nozzles, perfect for minimising spillage when loading and unloading LPG into ship tankers, bobtail trucks, intermediate bulk trucks and the like.

Product description

Safe and fast coupling and uncoupling is the main purpose for using a dry gas coupling on hose assemblies and loading arms. They increase control over hazardous vapours and liquids hence securing a risk-free handling for people and protect properties from exposure of contamination. Compared to traditional flange connections, the time to connect and disconnect hoses into permanent installations, is drastically reduced.

Features

  • Reduced spillage and product loss prevent hazardous vapours and liquids from affecting the environment and operators
  • User-friendly and reliable servicing – minimising health risks and the risk of human errors
  • Approved for safe handling of LPG - Propane (CAS 74-98-6, UN 1978) and Butane (CAS 106-97-8, UN1011). Un-classification 2.1 and similar applications
  • Some hose and tank units are multi-functional for both flange and threaded connections
  • Disconnects in seconds (connects and disconnects under pressure and flow)
  • Environmentally friendly as spillage is reduced to fractions of Milliliters

Did you know?

MAKEEN Gas Equipment has hose units with integrated break-away couplings available for scenarios where the risk of excessive force on the hose is present (caused by unexpected motion between the loading and unloading units)

Alternative products

  • Two pieces from a CME hose coupling

    ACME hose couplings

These couplings are frequently used in LPG and NH3 transfers and provide safe connection and fast filling for the likes of bobtail trucks and anhydrous ammonia nurse tank service.

  • 3 ACME tank couplings

    ACME tank couplings

ACME tank couplings are male threaded devices that are installed onto tanks to facilitate a secure one directional flow of propane during filling - preventing gas from accidentally escaping.
